An exciting and unique joint forum…  2013 National Outdoor Recreation Conference & The IUFRO Conference on Forests for People Traverse City, Michigan, USA – May 19-23, 2013

These two educational programs will be seamlessly blended, while still retaining the individual identity of the two host organizations. The conference will offer several plenary sessions and field workshops, along with separate concurrent sessions tailored to the themes of each conference. One registration and one fee will cover both sessions. Participants will have more opportunities to make a presentation and a wider variety of learning experiences.

Latest issue of Urban Forestry & Urban Greening

Issue 3 of Volume 10 is available at http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/16188667. This issue included, among other, a review article on outdoor recreation and ethnicity in Europe. Other articles look e.g. at the impact of urban trees on rental prices, urban forest growth, and urban forest carbon credits. Also featured are research papers on park birdlife and the restorative outcomes of forest schools.

Journal ‘Urban Forestry & Urban Greening’ Celebrates It’s 10th Anniversary

In 2002, a new scientific journal focusing on research dealing with urban forests and urban green spaces was launched. This year marks Urban Forestry & Urban Greening’s 10th anniversary. EuroMAB 2011 conference, Sharing Sustainable Futures
